Designer Hans Hornemann and Normann Copenhagen’s Brand manager Britt Bonnessen together have created a distinctly clever showroom or as some describe, an art gallery.

With brushed steel walls, acrylic pedestals and bright theatrical colour throughout the space – which used to be a cinema, the textures and styling, come together seamlessly.

“We want to create experiences that push the boundaries of what is considered the norm.”  Explains Hornemann, and that they have. With the impressive space divided into different areas, a hall, stage, ballroom and gallery, each boast different concepts and invite a different experience.

The hall showcases an 18 piece modular sofa with an impressive array of colours.  This then leads to the stage where furniture is on display yet invites you to interact with the space and admire the gorgeous collection of Normann Copenhagen designs.

The stage is followed by the Ballroom. And what a room this is. Housing eight tons of Italian terrazzo, this grand ballroom has wall heights of 9 metres. This monumental space is a colossal of marble beams and classic detail.

Finally, a raw metal shaft leads into the space known as the gallery. Plush pink steps lead the way to an area that explodes with the colour pink.  With the exception of tiny contrasts of white, the entire space is comprised of differing hues of pink objects.

This exceptional space has been designed remarkably. A showroom meets a retail space and delivers a creative experience that will no doubt leave you inspired.
