Danish Design company Normann Copenhagen is well known for their ability to create original, innovative and contemporary products that are simple, functional with a pleasant aesthetic. Through great design they challenge typical thinking to make ordinary products extraordinary.
Jan Anderson and Poul Madsen established the brand in 1999, creating a myriad collection of beautiful furniture, textiles, lighting, homewares and accessories.
Now, Normann Copenhagen products can be found in over 80 countries throughout the world as well as boasting over 80 design awards since their humble beginnings.
HG have welcomed to the showroom a range of new pieces by Normann Copenhagen including Herit, Sum, Silo and Pad, as well as the timeless favorites.
Herit Chair
Short for Heritage, the Herit designed by Simon Legald, embodies Danish design traditions that characterise simple lines and true style.
With a desire to design versatile, strong and true to form pieces, the Herit embodies a strong chair in which oak and plastic merge in subtle interaction of elements.
The precisely designed path of the curves mimics the shape of the human body to create the correct support in the seated position. The Herit’s design can inhibit any space easily and seamlessly, to create a hard-wearing, maintenance-friendly and accessible design, made for modern life.
Sum
Sum depicts a well-proportioned sofa that encapsulates contemporary design and elegance. The design is stylish in character and inviting, with the open armrests and cushioned seat.
The Sum sofa can be built up from eight different modules, angled or straight, with open or closed sides. Add up the parts you want into a customised sofa design and create welcoming and vibrant lounge areas, supplemented by the series’ matching armchair.
Silo Pouf
Taking its name from a simple cylindrical shape, the Silo Pouf offers a stroke of lavishness with the vibrant and luxurious textiles.
Available in 3 sizes, the Silo offers a soft but firm surface allowing it also to act as a table or extra seat and it’s available in three different shades including a muted black/ brown tone, hues of blue and a mixture of warm and dusty colours.
The ottoman can live in a hall, living room, dressing room or bedroom as a flexible and decorative addition to the furnishings.
Pad Lounge Series
With its character built from the combination of materials, the Pad lounge chair is tactile in form and offers streamlined comfort.
With its metal frame offering an air of strength and solidness, the contrasting soft padded seat and backrest balance the design.
While the shape appears boxy, the soft curves offset the solid steel and oak veneer.
